Fair Housing Statement

Last Updated: June 26, 2025

We are pledged to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

Our Commitment

Atlis Group is committed to the letter and spirit of the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 3601–3619) and all applicable state and local fair housing laws, including the Florida Fair Housing Act (Chapter 760, Florida Statutes). We provide equal professional service to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by law.

What Is the Fair Housing Act?

The Fair Housing Act, enacted as Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 and amended by the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, financing, and advertising of housing. The law protects individuals from discrimination based on:

  • Race
  • Color
  • National Origin
  • Religion
  • Sex
  • Familial Status (including children under 18 living with parents or legal custodians, pregnant women, and people securing custody of children)
  • Handicap (Disability) — including physical and mental impairments that substantially limit one or more major life activities

Additionally, the Florida Fair Housing Act provides additional protections under state law.

Our Policy in Practice

As a licensed Florida real estate brokerage, Atlis Group adheres to the following principles:

  • We will not refuse to sell, rent, or negotiate with any person on the basis of any protected class.
  • We will not make, print, or publish any statement, advertisement, or representation that indicates any preference, limitation, or discrimination based on a protected characteristic.
  • We will not impose different terms, conditions, or privileges on the sale or rental of a property based on protected class status.
  • We will not steer clients toward or away from any neighborhood, community, or property based on the composition of that community.
  • We will not misrepresent the availability of housing for sale or rental.
  • We will provide reasonable accommodations and modifications to our processes for persons with disabilities.
  • All our advertising — including digital content, social media, and this website — uses inclusive and compliant language that does not suggest preference or exclusion.

Reasonable Accommodations

Atlis Group will make reasonable accommodations in our rules, practices, and procedures when necessary to afford persons with disabilities equal opportunity to use and enjoy a dwelling. We will also allow persons with disabilities to make reasonable physical modifications to their unit or common areas when necessary for their full enjoyment of the premises.
